FAQs

Where are you based?

Northumberland and Newcastle upon Tyne! If you are interested in a photoshoot but cannot travel to the locations near me, we can absolutely discuss the shoot being closer to you (travel fee may be required depending on the distance).

What will the photoshoot entail?

We will arrive at the location and spend some time chatting and getting comfortable with one another (I know meeting someone new can be a bit daunting for some people, so my aim is to put everyone at ease - owner and dog alike - from the get go). The photoshoot is essentially a big fun dog walk, just with a few added breaks to snap some shots! Your dog’s well-being is paramount and I will never force them to do something they’re not happy with, just for the sake of getting a good photo; the images you receive are meant to represent your dog as naturally and as “them” as possible :).

What happens after the photoshoot?

Via your personal gallery, I will send you a sneak peak within 48 hours of the shoot; this will consist of 2 images out of the final 6. The remaining photos will be shared to your gallery within 3-4 weeks. I will contact you as soon as your final gallery is ready!

Can my dog be on a lead? What if my dog is nervous/reactive?

Of course! This is no problem at all; leads, collars and harnesses can all be removed during the editing process. A lot of the time it can actually be beneficial to keep your dog on the lead!

If your dog is nervous/reactive then please do let me know beforehand; this absolutely isn’t an issue but it just means we’ll have to plan the location/timing a bit more to ensure the comfort of your dog. As mentioned above, your dog’s well-being is paramount so they will never be put in a situation that could make them nervous or reactive (I have nervous dogs myself so I deeply understand how important it is to ensure they aren’t overwhelmed).

Do I need to bring anything on the day?

Your dog’s favourite treat and/or toy are always a good idea! Other than that, there’s nothing else you need. If possible, please leave your dog’s coat at home, or be prepared to take it off during the shoot.

What about bad weather?

Unfortunately the UK weather is unpredictable at the best times, so if the weather on the day looks bad we will discuss rescheduling for another time.
